From Sherry……

Hi Everyone
Let's play a little imagine game for a moment.
Imagine every morning you wake up and hurt from head to toe.
And you have flu-like symptoms -- exhaustion, severe muscle aches, diarrhea and more -- only they continue for months instead of days. Plus you have trouble sleeping, swollen glands, stress, anxiety and depression.
You go to the doctor and he does one of two things:
1-- Tells you it's all in your head, or
2-- Sends you on your merry way with prescriptions for
pain killers, sleeping pills and an antidepressant.

You've just entered the world of fibromyalgia.
Fibromyalgia affects nearly 6 million Americans. Even though most people have heard of it, it remains a vague condition that isn't easily understood.

To explain fibromyalgia, here's a very brief anatomy lession:
"Fibro" means connective tissue and "myalgia" means muscle pain. So fibromyalgia is a painful condition affecting the connective tissues of your muscles.
If you were to see a cross section of one of your muscles, you'd see yarn-like strands of fiber, each wrapped connective tissue. Groups of those yarn strands are bundled together and each bundle is wrapped in more connective tissue.
Then all those bundles are wrapped up together in connective tissue which forms your muscle. The muscle is then connected to bones by tendons or to other muscles by ligaments. (Both tendons and ligaments are connective tissues too.) So you can see that a connective tissue problem can cause pain ALL OVER in and around your muscles.

Anatomy lesson done.
Fibromyalgia is a mystery because most of the mainstream medical community can't explain why it occurs. They also don't have any answers for treatment besides drugs for the pain, sleeplessness and mood swings (which of course means dangerous antidepressants).

But there are a growing number of forward-thinking doctors and scientists who now know that fibromyalgia is linked to excess acid wastes in the body -- caused primarily by diet.
They're right on.

Here is what's REALLY going on with fibromyalgia:
When acid creating foods are consumed (and foods like this are in abundance with our "standard western diet"), the wastes from those foods don't disappear once the food is digested and you have a bowel movement.
Oh, no -- there's a LOT more going on that you don't know about.
Foods that create acid in the body make toxins (like poison to your body). These toxins are absorbed into the bloodstream from the intestines and are carried all over your body.
Neat, huh?
Your body's first defense against acid in your bloodstream is to either have the kidneys filter it out (and dump it into your urine) or neutralize it (by using up calcium and magnesium from your bones and muscles).
But (and this is a tractor-trailer sized "Butt")...
..when there's a daily onslaught of acid from food going in, it's like trying to bail water out of a sinking boat -- your body can't keep up.
Plus, the lymphatic system (your "garbage collection" system) tries like crazy to eliminate these wastes through its exits -- the lungs, skin, bowel and bladder -- but it can only handle so much too.
If you're really loaded with toxins, the lymphatic system "overflows" and the toxins end up being STORED in your organs, tissues and bones.
Toxins that have accumulated in the muscles and connective tissues come out as, TADA!...

Fibromyalgia.
(By the way, toxins that accumulate in the joints become arthritis, and when they accumulate in the ligaments, tendons and connective tissues surrounding the organs, they become lupus.) All the same source... food.

And unless you stop what is creating fibromyalgia to begin with -- eating foods and food combinations that create acid in your body -- your chance of ever feeling any better is about as good as putting a fire out by dumping gasoline on
it.
Even if you don't have fibromyalgia, eating an acid-creating diet is a great way to ensure that you will get it or some other disease.
Another important point is that not only are drugs useless in the treatment of fibromyalgia -- they can also be harmful and downright deadly.

Because drugs ADD to the acidity in your body.
So when your doctor hands you the little white piece of paper with his scribble, he's making your fibromyalgia WORSE--not better.
And it doesn't stop there...
The Washington Post reported on a study that appeared in the Journal of the American Medical Association revealing that 2 million people are seriously injured each year taking prescription drugs as directed, and 106,000 die!
Death by taking drugs as directed.
What does that tell you about the safety of these chemical
creations?
If you REALLY want help with fibromyalgia (or want to help make sure you never get it in the first place), there are two effective things that are safe and very easy to use.
1) The Great Taste No Pain Health System
Cleansing and eliminating acidity from your body by eating delicious alkaline-creating foods in the combinations that make for easy digestion and assimiliation.
It isn't a diet. It's just the way to eat that respects that your body is alkaline and needs to stay alkaline to be truly healthy and strong.
Less acidity means less inflammation in ALL areas of the body -- including around the muscles for fibromyalgia sufferers.
You can get it here:
Great Taste No Pain
2) Super Shield multi-strain probiotic formula
Studies have found that probiotics can reduce the nervous system hypersensitivity associated with fibromyalgia.
Probiotics are not dangerous. They are not chemicals like drugs -- they are the same friendly bacteria that reside in your intestinal tract, helping to protect you from food pathogens, keeping your digestion efficient and making your
immune system strong.
By helping to keep your digestion running smoothly, probiotics can help lessen the chance of disease-causing wastes and toxins accumulating in your body.
You can get Super Shield here:
Great Taste No Pain

If you or someone you love has fibromyalgia (or want to prevent it or other disease too), it's crucial that you reduce the acidity in your body and keep your digestive tract running like it should.

Great Taste No Pain and Super Shield are an unbeatable combination. Use them now and see how great you can feel.

To your health,
Sherry Brescia

The Power of Now

Last night I began re-reading Eckhart Tolle’s first book “The Power of Now.” I have always believed, and taught, that the next step in human evolution is learning to choose our thoughts and consequently choose our emotions. Eckhart Tolle takes this idea a step further when says that we urgently need to learn to stop thinking altogether and find the quiet space within where wisdom and intuition can emerge. The future of humanity depends on it. He says, “Many people live with a tormenter in their head that continuously attacks and punishes them and drains them of vital energy. It is the cause of untold misery and unhappiness as well as of disease.”
This morning when I woke, I quietly watched my thoughts. I do this in meditation, while I focus on my breathing and repeat a mantra, but this morning I simply observed what was happening inside my head and my God it’s a traffic jam in there! One thought after another, all lined up eager for airtime. All competing for space and going in different directions. Very much like a traffic jam in rush hour. As a silent witness I was intrigued by the relentless busyness of my thoughts. There was a problem here, a memory there, a plan to be made, something I needed to do, or buy, or find. So much to think about. The image of my thoughts being like cars in peak hour traffic presented itself and I decided to imagine some people with Stop-Slow signs controlling the traffic at certain locations. As I pictured this the streets began to clear. Things became quieter. I felt a spaciousness within my mind. The noise and pollution of all that traffic dissipated and a sense of peace began to appear. Stillness and clarity replaced the chaos. It felt so much better. As I rested in that space I realized that a number of magnificent, colourful floats, like you would see in a Mardi Gras parade, had been waiting on the outskirts of the city. Now that the streets had cleared they could enter one at a time. They moved slowly past at a pace to be savoured and appreciated. It was a procession of inspired, sacred, creative, light-filled beauty. They were surprising and spontaneous images that are difficult to describe in words. I realized that whatever it was that was now flowing slowly through my mind was infinitely more meaningful than the typical mind chatter that had been blocking it just minutes before.
Tolle says that when you attempt to stop thinking, “There is one certain criteria by which you can measure your success in this practice: the degree of peace within.”
The challenge now of course is to keep that traffic under control. I might just have to install some permanent road blocks.

Gulf of Mexico Oil Leak

The oil leak in the Gulf of Mexico has shocked the world. This is a man made environmental disaster to surpass all others. Mother Earth is bleeding profusely and the impact on the region looks like it will be far reaching and long lasting. At the time of writing this the oil slick is now 25,000 square kilometres. That’s 13 times the size of Port Phillip Bay and its still growing daily.
Recently I was sent a link to a video on Facebook. It may be a little “out there” for some people but it was a beautiful channeled message from the whales and dolphins in response to this crisis. They basically said that this is our wake up call. It’s a strong and clear message about the damage our demand for oil can inflict on the natural world. The message is that if you are disturbed by this event then take responsibility to create change. Start by choosing and using clean energy. BP is not the villain here. Each and every one of us has played a role. If you have ever filled your car with petrol, as I have, you have some responsibility for that oil leak in the Gulf of Mexico. Secondly, begin to work metaphysically. Visualize and meditate on the ocean healing. Send positive thoughts and support to everyone who is working to fix the problem including the BP engineers who are genuinely struggling to cap the leak. When enough people focus on a positive outcome we can create miracles.

Alison on the Road

While travelling around Australia with a caravan and my lovely husband, I finally have time to clear my head and hit the keyboard without a deadline. Life on the road is quite a change for both of us. We were longstanding workaholics and after a month on the road (going anticlockwise around Australia) we have happily gone into slow motion. I now have time to share some thoughts on things that concern, or interest me, and I thought this blog would be the perfect avenue. Ever since I can remember I have always had an interest in health care. I now own Simply Natural Therapies, a Natural Health and Wellbeing Centre in East Doncaster, Melbourne which is currently being run by my daughter, Leah, with the support of a wonderful team of Admin Angels, Retail Goddesses and exceptional practitioners.
